ACES - Automated Collateral Evaluation in Acute Ischemic Stroke

Collaterals play a crucial role in extending brain tissue viability in acute ischemic stroke. Still, they are often underappreciated in clinical practice. We are developing an automated model for segmenting, labelling and rating leptomeningeal collaterals on digital subtraction angiography to improve collateral appraisal and outcome prediction. The aim is to expand this to CT angiography.

This project ist supported by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences „Young Talents in Clinical Research“ program and the Betty & David Koetser Foundation for Brain Research.
